Here's how the process works:
The consultation
At Sage & Sons we carry all the major carpet brands. We'll bring the showroom to you so you can get a better sense of what it might look and feel like in your home before making a decision.
Getting an estimate
We offer in-home estimates so you know exactly what to expect and what the price range will be.
Scheduling the installation
We'll work with you to find the best day to install your new carpet. Installations typically last X days, so be prepared to have that room off-limits during that time.
The installation
On the installation day, make sure you've got your furniture removed from the rooms. If you wish, Sage & Sons can remove your old carpet. To minimize dust, vacuum your old carpet before it’s removed and, after it’s up, vacuum the floor thoroughly.
Tim's tips for choosing your carpet
- Select neutral colors if your furniture has a distinctive pattern
- Patterned carpets will generally show less staining
- Check the carpet color both in the store and at home. Be sure to place the carpet on the floor, not at eye level. This will give you a better sense of what it will look like when installed.

Can Sage & Sons remove my existing carpet?
If you wish, Sage & Sons can remove your old carpet. If not, you should make arrangements to have it removed. To minimize dust, vacuum your old carpet before it’s removed and, after it’s up, vacuum the floor thoroughly.
Can Sage & Sons move my furniture?
Decide in advance if you want to take on the responsibility or if you want the us to handle it. Either way, be sure to remove all fragile items from the room, and don’t leave anything—such as drapery or plants—hanging over the installation area.
I'm planning on painting my room. Should I wait until after the carpet is installed?
If you’re planning to paint, wallpaper, or do any other remodeling in the room, it’s best to do it before your carpet is installed. Just in case, keep extra paint to touch up any post-installation nicks.
